Local artist Omar Bynon will be performing new work with poets Ruth Sutoyé and Malakai Sargaent

Omar Bynon is a poet, actor and facilitator. He is 1/3 of Rhythm of Men and a Barbican Young Poet. He is CEO of the 'gunfingers at the poetry reading' society.

Ruth Sutoyé is a Black British poet & writer. She is a Barbican Young Poet, member of the sxwks collective and co-founder of the creative umbrella RS Haus.

Malakai Sargeant is a writer, producer and director who works extensively with his theatre company The S+K Project to promote inclusivity within the performing arts sector, with the aim to make the arts for everyone. He has performed his poetry at various events across the country, and has led talks and workshops for various groups. Malakaï and fellow poet Belinda Zhawi curate and host Veranda, a monthly poetry night at the independent bookshop Libreria.

The event will be held at our cosy Applecart Cafe at 7.00pm on Friday 7 April.  Tickets are £5 online (£6 at the door) and places are limited so don't miss out!
